Maybe you dream of running a bed and breakfast full time where you get to meet and interact with travelers from all over. Maybe you dream of renting out rooms part time on Air BNB where it's more self-service and you get to make money when there are special events in town and during hunting season. Maybe you dream of working with one of the local farmers where you provide the lodging and the hunting guide service and the farmer provides the land to hunt on. Maybe you dream of starting an organic high intensity market garden like Jean-Martin Fortier or Never Sink Farms where you have WOOFERS (people who trade their labor in exchange for room, board, and learning how to grow food) stay with you to lessen the burden of labor. Maybe your dream is to raise a self-sufficient family on your own little plot of land out in the country. Your kiddos can walk to school. (It's closer to school than half of the houses in town) There is enough room to raise a couple of calves, half dozen pigs, twenty laying hens, one hundred chickens to butcher, and a couple of milk goats. You can have a big garden outside and grow food all year long in the big sunroom/greenhouse. One of the next projects that the previous owners dreamed of was to dig a pond out front to raise catfish. That would bring in ducks, deer, and all kinds of wildlife. You could sit in your living room in the evenings and watch the world go by. When you walk into your new home, you enter into an amazing kitchen and open dining room area. There are nine foot ceilings and custom solid oak cabinets that reach all the way to the ceiling. The kitchen is open and spacious. There is even enough room to do a little dancing in there when you are in the mood. To the left of the entry door is your laundry room / half bath. The walls of the laundry room are covered in dry erase board so you can leave each other love notes. From the kitchen there is a doorway to the living room and another door down to the basement. The basement has tons of shelving for all of your food storage needs. As the kitchen transitions into into the dining room there is a peninsula with seating so the kids can be near mom who is getting the burger fixins ready while dad is out back on the big deck grilling up a storm. At the far end of the dining room is the corn / pellet stove which is lovingly refered to as the butt magnet. The first thing that every person who has ever entered this house on a cold winter day has done is to go straight over to the corn stove and stood in front of it . Next to the butt magnet is the door to the main bathroom. It has a great walk in shower with a seat in it. A prize possession in this bathroom is the original claw foot tub. There is a light installed above the tub so you can soak for hours while reading your favorite book. There is also shelf installed next to the tub to hold a glass of your favorite wine. Also in this room is a one of a kind solid oak custom bookshelf / vanity. There is plenty of room to store all of your favorite books, towels, and toiletries. Leaving the dining room you go into a short hallway. Off to the left is the living room. There are two large picture windows that look south through the sunroom / greenhouse. This lets tons of light in all winter long and you have an unobstructed view for miles and miles. To the right of the hallway is the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a beautiful old original built in hutch with very fine detail. There is a large walk-in closet with plenty of room for him and her. There are pretty bi-fold doors that open the whole south side of the master bedroom into the office. The office is a nice large space with another large picture window that looks south over the top of the big l-shaped desk. The office has some of the original ornate woodwork and trim in it. To the side of the desk is a walk-out bay window that faces west but allows you to look North, West, and South. At the east end of the office is the hallway and the stairway that leads upstairs. The West end of the upper floor is a very large library / family room. It extends from the front of the house to the back of the house. This could very easily be converted into one or two more bedrooms if you needed more bedrooms. There are heavy duty shelves along the entire West wall and a little reading nook under two of the windows. There is another full bathroom upstairs right next to another corn stove. The rest of the upstairs consists of four nice sized bedrooms and one smaller bedroom. The bonus room is on the South side of the main floor. There is an attached nine foot by thirty foot sunroom / greenhouse. This room is designed for maximum sun in the winter (so it heats itself) and minimum sun in the summer. (so it helps keep the house cool) If you finish off the high mass sand bed and the thermal hydro banking system that were planned for this room, you will be amazed at how much this room will help heat the rest of the house during the winter. The attic has knee deep insulation to help ease heating and cooling. (the attic could be converted to more living space if you really needed more) The main body of the house has thirty one dual pane, low-e, argon filled windows that are pretty new. The sunroom /greenhouse has nine new dual pane argon filled tempered glass windows for maximum sun / heat transfer."
