Byron Bible Camp is a Christian camp and retreat center located on beautiful Lake Byron about 15 miles north of Huron, SD.
We can provide housing, camping, kitchen facilities, large meeting areas and a wide variety of activities.  We have indoor dorm rooms, tents and RV sites. Camping is available at Memorial Park, which is close to the golf course, swimming pool, beach, mini golf, and paddle boats. The campground has 24 sites with full hookups, 49 sites for tent camping, showers, phones, a dump station, tables, grills, and lake and river fishing access. Free Golf, Frisbee golf that is…

Memorial Park has a wonderful free Disc golf course. Disc golf, also known as frisbee golf , is a flying disc game, as well as a precision and accuracy sport, in which individual players throw a flying disc at a target. According to the Professional Disc Golf Association, “The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc.

 

Who is responsible for the sidewalk in front of my house?

The property owner is responsible for the repair and maintenance of sidewalks, by South Dakota State law.  Any property owner, who fails to maintain their sidewalk in a safe condition is considered negligent in their duties as a property owner, and is liable for injuries which may occur due to its lack of maintenance. It is further required that property owners or renters of property within the City of Huron, shovel the snow from their sidewalk  to allow for pedestrian passage.

 

Where to Fish

Third Street Dam

Catch Muskellunge, American Eel, short-nose gar, gizzard shad, freshwater drum and paddle fish on the intersection of the James River and 3rd street.

Lake Byron

This lake has been one of the top producers of trophy walleye in the state. It is located 15 miles north of Huron. This is also a great lake to take your boat on!

Ravine Lake

Crappie, Catfish, pike, walleye, and bullheads can be found in our own Ravine Lake. On the other side of the lake enjoy refreshments, free bike rentals, and beach access to swimming.
